About the program
The MSc degree program trains engineers that are able to design and fabricate devices and nanoelectronic systems, micro and nano-sensors, and micro and nanosystems, starting from the development of a solid knowledge of condensed matter physics, of interfaces and of material processing technology, and combined with insights on characterization techniques of materials and systems, of optoelectronic devices, of devices for biomedical nanodiagnostics, of devices for microfluidics, robotics and information processing.
Held exclusively in English, the study program also provides international experiences in collaboration with the Institut National Polytechnique in Grenoble and the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
The degree program trains a Nanotechnology for ICT’s engineer to ft the following professional profiles, that will be mostly employed in companies and research centres that deal with innovation at the highest levels:
- DESIGNER OF MICRO AND NANO
- DEVICES DESIGNER OF MICRO AND NANO SYSTEMS
- RESEARCH ENGINEER IN MICRO AND NANOTECHNOLOGY
- RESEARCH ENGINEER IN MICRO AND NANOSYSTEMS
- MICRO AND NANOTECHNOLOGY DEVELOPER
- MICRO AND NANO SYSTEMS DEVELOPER
The high level of technical and scientific knowledge allows for immediate working opportunities or the pursuit of further knowledge with a II level Master or a PhD program offered by Politecnico, for those who have a strong research activity vocation.
